Open Question: How can you ensure a loan from a bank?

I have the honor of participating in the Expo, a Model & Talent convention. Only 500 people get carefully selected in the whole US! Quite an accomplishment, eh? Yeah, but there's only one problem: it costs A LOT of money!!!!! :( My family is going through some really tough times right now, and my mom just lost her job. With her job, we could have made it to Dallas, Texas and we live in Phoenix, Arizona. But it costs over a thousand dollars, and my mother can hardly pay the bills. After some research, I suggested getting a loan from the bank. My mom hesitated but agreed and together we wrote our bank a persuasive letter. We haven't finished yet, but so far it looks pretty good. How good are my chances for getting an approved loan for $2,000 on a scale from 1 to 10?
