Glendale, Arizona is home this year to the BCS Championship Game and if Glendale is lucky it will be the new home of the second coming of a Hall of Fame quarterback in Cam Newton. In the National Title Game Glendale will get a up close view of their hopefully new franchise quarterback in Cam Newton, who is employed now by the University of Auburn as their quarterback. The Arizona Cardinals, who make their home in Glendale are well on their way to earning the first pick in the draft, with their play of late.
Cam Newton who will leave Auburn after this year is projected to be the first pick in next years NFL Draft. The Arizona Cardinals must finish with the worst record in the league to receive the number one pick. The Cardinals have done everything necessary to accomplish receiving the number one pick in the 2011draft.
The Cardinals are trying to replace a Hall of Fame quarterback in Kurt Warner, who walked out on the last year of his contract to be on such things as "Dancing with the Stars". Anyone who has watched the Cardinals play know they need a quarterback, who can play the position well to win. Derek Anderson is a bust and Max Hall should be playing flag football instead of professional football.
Cam Newton of Auburn is everything the Cardinals need to replace Kurt Warner on the field. Cam is a first year starter in the SEC and has broken all the records, of previous quarterbacks in rushing yardage and touchdowns scored including Tim Tebow, who's stats don't come close to Newton's stats. Newton has become the number one most talked about college player this year, not only for his on the field play, but also for his off the field "pay to play" schemes of his father.
Cam Newton, who many on the Plains are comparing to the rise of Obama have adopted the "yes we can" slogan, has been in hot water before, Newton was kicked off the Florida Gators for purchasing a stolen computer. So Cam Newton will not arrive in Glendale with the polished image of a Kurt Warner, but his coming may present some of the same results championships and winning seasons.
Anyone who has not seen Cam Newton play will get a chance to see him Friday at 1:30 on CBS as the Auburn Tigers take on their in state rivals the University of Alabama. Alabama coming off it's 13th National Title have had what is for them a down year two loses. Auburn is favored to win the game and with Newton leading the way Auburn seems all but headed to BCS Championship game in Glendale. A National Title for Auburn and Newton would be huge, in being it would be Auburn's first ever and make Cam Newton and his father much more than the 200,000 they "allegedly" asked Auburn to pay for his services this year.
